In this lesson you will learn how to enable macros in Excel 2010. This is useful trick because in Excel it is not so easy to find this option.
Ribbon
What to do when somebody disabled macros in your spreadsheet?
Go to Ribbon. Click File > Options.
Click Trust Center > Trust Center Settings.
Enable macros
From the left bar select Macro Settings. Tick 4th option: Enable all macros. Actually this is not so dangerous… when you use spreadsheets from there source you trust.
Close and re-open Excel for the changes to take effect.
Note: Enabling all macros is not recommended as it can put your computer at risk of malware and viruses. It is better to enable only trusted macros that are signed by a trusted certificate.
It is also possible to enable macros for a single workbook. To do this, open the workbook and click on the "Enable Content" button that appears when the workbook opens.
Please keep in mind that enabling macros can make your computer vulnerable to malicious code. Be cautious when opening workbooks from untrusted sources or that contain macros. Always scan for viruses before enabling macros.
