What is Watch Window in Excel

The Watch Window in Microsoft Excel is a feature that allows you to monitor the values of cells while you work in a different part of the workbook. Adding a Watch Window

Note: You can move the Watch Window toolbar to the top, bottom, right or left side.

To display the cell that an entry in Watch Window toolbar refer to, double click the entry.

Removing cells from the Watch Window

Select cell that you like to remove. To select multiple cell, press CTRL and then click the cells.

Click Delete Watch.

Monitor cell values

As you work in different parts of the worksheet, the values of the cells in the Watch Window will be updated in real-time. You can see the current value of each cell, and you can also see the formulas and values of any cells that are used to calculate the value of the cells in the Watch Window.

Keep the Watch Window visible

If you want to keep the Watch Window visible while you work in other parts of the worksheet, simply click and drag the Watch Window to a location on your screen where it will not be obscured by other windows.

Close the Watch Window

To close the Watch Window, simply click the "X" in the upper-right corner of the window.
