In this tutorial, you’ll discover how to personalize the background color of your Excel workbook, transforming its appearance to your liking.
Adjusting the Color
If the standard white background doesn’t appeal to you, follow these steps to change it:
Begin by selecting the entire workbook. You can do this by clicking anywhere in the workbook, as shown below.
Next, navigate to the Ribbon. Find the “Home” tab and locate the “Font” section within.
In the Font section, you’ll notice the Fill button. Click on it to reveal a color palette. Here, you can choose a new background color either from the palette or by specifying a color using the RGB or HSL color models.
For instance, if red is your preference, select it from the palette.
If you find your workbook lacks borders, you can add them for a more structured appearance.
And that’s how it looks with All Borders.
By following these straightforward steps, you can effortlessly modify the background color of your Excel workbook. Whether it’s a vibrant hue or a subtle shade, this customization allows you to create a workspace that suits your style and preferences.
Note: Excel offers advanced options like conditional formatting to dynamically change cell background colors based on specific criteria.
